Many teams are undoubtedly interested in Leo Messi. The Argentine cracker raises passions wherever he goes, and Inter Milan saw the possibility of having the captain of FC Barcelona in their ranks in the middle of the operation by Lautaro Martinez.
One of the latest people to come forward to these rumours has been Portugal’s Jose Morais, who has been Jose Mourinho’s assistant at teams he has coached, including Inter Milan itself. Morais confessed that he “saw” Messi in Milan in an online interview.
“I think it’s possible, do you know why? Because they have Zanetti, and Zanetti is like an attraction for Argentine players. I think he’s capable of attracting a player like Messi, in case he thinks of a different challenge. I think that, for an Argentinian player, going to Inter is almost like going home,” said Morais.
The figure of Zanetti, therefore, is what Morais sees as the key to convincing Messi to change his ways, but also the “welcoming” atmosphere of the ‘neoazurri’ club with the Argentinians.
“Inter is a team that is especially welcoming to Argentine players, and that’s probably due to the presence of Zanetti. All the Argentinean players who go to Inter play well there and bring success to the club. I think Messi could be one of those players,” said Mourinho’s former assistant.
